Big Sky: Crossroads of America?
Let me try to get this straight …
I’m driving west from VT to Cali, and my close friend Colby is driving east from Cali to Maine. We ended up in Big Sky at the same time. Totally unplanned.
Last week Colby and I were visiting our mutual friend Jake from SLC days, who lives in Bozeman. On this particular week, Jake was doing some freelance photography work for a company called Outlaw Partners, specifically a guy named Brian Niles … It just so happens that I worked with Brian on the train up in Alaska eight years ago and haven’t seen him since. He and Jake just started collaborating and have done a few projects together. Totally coincidental.
Outlaw Partners just hired a guy named Tyler, whom Colby worked with many moons ago up at Solitude Mountain Resort. Another connection.
And, of course, Matty and Summer live in Bozeman, so there’s that train connection again.
What brought us all to Big Sky?
A rodeo. Brian’s company was putting it on, Jake was shooting photographs of it, Tyler was writing about it, and Matty, Summer, Colby and I were just taking it all in.
Bring on the mutton bustin‘!
